David Bachman, Managing Principal & CEO
David started in the affordable housing management and development business in 1993. David received a Business
Administration Degree from Western Oregon University. David holds a real estate property management license and
is the Managing Principal and CEO of the corporation. David supervises all of the staff in the Wilsonville office including the Property Management, Compliance and Marketing departments. As Managing Principal and CEO, he is responsible for new business
development. Since his employment, the company's portfolio has grown to more than ten times its original size. This
has been accomplished while maintaining Cascade's high level of commitment to service and quality.
Ryan McClung, Chief Financial Officer
Ryan graduated from Oregon State University and is a Certified Public Accountant, Chief Financial Officer and
Shareholder of Cascade Management. He has been with Cascade Management since 1997. He manages the corporate
finances and oversees the Accounting department. He is also the main point of contact for financial institutions,
auditors and lenders. Ryan also manages Cascade's Consulting Services.
Sherry Van Blaricom, Controller
Sherry started at Cascade in 2006. She graduated from University of Montana with an Accounting Degree. She currently manages all of the project accounting and directly supervises the Accounting department. Sherry is responsible for financial reporting to owners, creditors and agencies.
JoAnn Smith, Corporate Officer & Regional Portfolio Manager
JoAnn has been with Cascade Management since 1980. She has been in the property management business for over twenty-four
years. She is now a Regional Portfolio Manager and is responsible for several properties
throughout the state of Oregon and works very closely with her onsite managers to provide intensive hands-on
management. JoAnn is our highly valued "institutional memory" for the corporation.
Brian McConnell, Operations Manager
Brian started at Cascade in 2011. He has over 21 years of Operations experience. As Operations Manager, Brian is
responsible for supervising the Leadership Team which includes the Directors for Portfolio Management, Accounting,
Compliance, Marketing, Information Systems and Human Resources. He works very closely with the managers and other
Cascade Management staff to define and develop processes and procedures that ensure good communication and efficiencies.
Benjamin Wickham, Director of Real Estate Services
Benjamin has 15 years of experience working in the property management industry in Oregon. He spent 12 years at the
Housing Authority of Portland, the majority of that time working as an asset manager. Benjamin is a CPM
(Certified Property Manager), and serves on the local IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) executive counsel,
as well as IREM's International Advisory Board. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the State of Oregon.
In addition to providing oversight for Cascade's team of portfolio managers, Benjamin also works with CEO, David
Bachman, in new market and business development for the company.
Dana Plop, Regional Portfolio Manager
Dana joined Cascade Management in 2006. She has over twenty years experience in project, property and asset management.
Prior to joining Cascade Management, Dana worked as a Director of Asset Management where she learned the ins and outs of
affordable housing and the programs associated with it. Dana holds the Certified Occupancy Specialist and
Certified Tax Credit Compliance Specialist designations and is presently a Certified Regional Property Manager
Candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management. Dana earned a Masters Degree in Construction Engineering.
Debi Mansfield-Christensen, Regional Portfolio Manager
Debi joined Cascade Management in 2004. As Regional Portfolio Manager, she now manages over 700 units in her portfolio. Prior to joining Cascade Management,
Debi worked as a Property Manager in the conventional property industry.
Rebekah Gerrick, Regional Portfolio Manager
Rebekah has been with Cascade Management since 2000. She has held various positions with the company and is now a
Regional Portfolio Manager overseeing thirty-six properties in Oregon. Rebekah holds Spectrum STAR certification and Council for Affordable and Rural Housing's Basic Apartment Manager Certification. Rebekah manages the vast majority of our Rural Development portfolio and is highly skilled in working with the agency at all levels.
Sonia Romero, Regional Portfolio Manager
Sonia joined Cascade Management in 2005. She has held various positions with the company and is now a
Regional Portfolio Manager. Sonia is bi-lingual and began in Property Management industry in 2000 in the State of California.
She currently holds a Property Management License in the State of Oregon.
Darla Lull, Regional Portfolio Manager
Darla has been with Cascade Management since 2004. She began in Property Management as a Portfolio Manager of residential
and commercial properties in 1998. Darla is well versed in Oregon Landlord Tenant Law and is a valuable resource for Cascade Management staff.
Shelly Hillman, Regional Portfolio Manager
Shelly started in Property Management in 1989 and recently relocated back to Portland after living in Idaho for that last 17
years. For the last 10 years, Shelly was an Asset Operations Manager for Idaho Housing, overseeing all of the compliance and
property management functions for The Housing Company. As a Portfolio Manager, Shelly is
well versed in HUD, RD, HOME and LIHTC programs, but is most comfortable with HUD regulations/programs. Shelly holds several
property management designations through IREM and NCHM.
Grace McNeilly, Regional Portfolio Manager, Commercial/Residential
Grace joined Cascade Management in 2011. Grace began in commercial property management in 1996. Prior to joining Cascade,
she accumulated 10 years of experience in managing Portland area office, industrial and retail properties, working with
institutional investors, asset managers, and small ownerships for a noted West Coast firm. In addition to portfolio
management, Grace provides service to Cascade clients as a consultant for commercial real estate development, leasing
and management. Grace has held an active Oregon Real Estate broker license since 1998. She is currently a member of IREM,
and has established her candidacy for the CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation.
Kerrie Bunes, Human Resources Manager
Kerrie has been with Cascade Management since 1998. She has thirteen years of accounting experience including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Budgeting, General Ledger and full Financial Reporting. Kerrie has ten years of Personnel and Supervisory/Management experience and over three years experience leading Safety committees.
Kari Fuge, Marketing Director
Kari has been with Cascade Management since 2001. She has received certifications in Project Management,
Web Development and Technical Writing Programs through Portland State University. She oversees marketing for
project lease-ups, ongoing marketing for maximized occupancy and manages all of the company's corporate marketing and
advertising, including the corporate web site.
Roanna La Greide, Senior Compliance Manager, LIHTC and Affordable Programs
Roanna has over sixteen years of real estate experience spanning both residential and commercial property management.
Roanna has worked for Cascade since 2000, participating in more than 40 initial tax credit lease-ups and over a dozen
preservation projects, consisting of more than 2,400 initial tenant qualifications. Roanna and her team are
responsible for ensuring property compliance with Section 42 and other affordable housing regulatory requirements,
along with fair housing, training, and reporting oversight. Roanna is also responsible for establishing and
implementing systems, policies and procedures to stay ahead of the changing affordable housing industry.
Roanna has been a licensed Real Estate Manager and is a Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO).
Angie Davis, Lead Compliance Specialist
Angie started with Cascade Management in 2007 and is currently a Compliance Officer. She maintains the
compliance portion for thirty-four properties including HUD, Rural Development, and Farm Labor.
Jennie Kime, Lead Compliance Specialist
Jennie joined Cascade in July 2011. She has been in the affordable housing industry since 1995 and has over
12 years experience in compliance relating to HUD, RD, HOME and LIHTC programs. She currently maintains, develops and
administers all HUD compliance related policies and procedures for Cascade.
